That looks so far ahead of its time. I could honestly see DC bringing out something like that now and I wouldn’t bat an eye.
A lot of their stuff lately has been horrific though.

Not sure about that, no worse than many other brands anyway. The only company with a clear record in this regard would be NB I reckon, can’t think of any silly shoes they’ve made.
My Mrs bought a pair of platform eras every time she wears them I’ll rip the piss out of them. Why couldn’t you just choose a normal pair of vans

The re-releases - Lynxes are enormous, the Legacies were awful first time round and the Stevie Williams shoe was a stinker then and still is now. Then there’s some cheap Air Max 90 knock-offs which are proper stinkers, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg -
Skating a pair of New Balance for the first time now. They seem tough, durable and light enough for a cupsole. Only thing is that they’re all synthetic so they’re not that flexible
Well if we cherry picked the worst ones we’d be here all day, the Williams wasn’t too bad in my opinion for the time at least and slim one looks pretty good I think:
I’ve got those NB’s, lovely shoes and you can often find them heavily discounted.
