Etnies Highlite is one of my all-time favourites, they were perfect for me.

I supported Sole Tech for really long but never really had etnies. I think the last pair I had were Sal 23s! Feels like that was centuries ago.
I’ve got 2 pairs of the new version of the ES Sals left ( one pair stored, one I’m wearing but not skating), best shoe I’ve skated . Wish they’d re issue them again. Come on Don sort it out .
I had the first Sal’s in tan with a black sole, was a beautiful shoe wipes tear
Yeah OG Sals, had 2 or 3 pairs in both black/gum and tan/gum, great shoe
Had tan/gum and baby blue / white. God they were great.
Some one have a word and get round three of them in production .
Found a pair of All Star hi-tops on top of the wardrobe. Not sure where they came from but they’ve hardly been worn. They are brown though.
Agreed, let’s just forget about that last attempt at a reissue. What a waste that was.
I loved them, had 4/5 pairs in all black and 6 pairs in black gum.
Super lightweight and could feel everything through the sole . Fucking loved skating them.

I loved the look of them box fresh too but they got a fold across the tox box that made them so ugly after a few skates… Couldn’t deal.
I have a wide foot so mine just turned into slippers , which was great.
Wasn’t the main issue with Sal 23’s just killing laces or were the newer ones better for this? I should really have got these:

They’re nice. They’d be so much better if they left off the rubbery toe bumper.
I bought some of those and they’re surprisingly unskateable. They just ended up being walk to work shoes. I am used to accel slims for skating though so literally any shoe would have felt like they needed to be worn in for a month before skating.
