Not very well this week (partner tested +ve for COVID, I haven’t) and last nights broken sleep was filled with dreams working out how to catch up with the forum TOTMs.

Was doing 1 foot bs big spins in my dream last night. Catching it with my back foot and really extending out that front foot. Looked sick
Not sure if it would in real life
Did a cab back d last night that felt so realistic I’m gunna give it a go next time I skate a decent mini ramp (which is probably never admittedly)

I was doing bs crooks fs360 out on a bench in my sleep last night. I’ve never felt what a crook or a fs 360 feels like in isolation so quite how the brain can make them feel so real in a dream is mind blowing to me.

The vast majority of my skate dreams are super frustrating…
Often Im trying to skate a ramp with friends and the moment I drop in everything becomes impossible and I just end up struggling to do the most basic of tricks - then when I look down at my board to try and figure out what’s going on I realise that instead of my board Im standing on a newspaper or a spade or something that absolutely isn’t a skateboard.
Try as I might I can just about muster up some frontside airs or little slashes or whatever, but I just end up well confused and give up…
Not sure what to make of it to be honest but Im sure my therapist / Sigmund Freud / some crystal chakra hippie chick would analyse the fuck out of it.
Thoughts?

I had a really weird dream last night. I dreamt I was talking to some bloke called (I think) Christiano with a really long Spanish sounding name, and I was suspicious about him using a fake name. I then somehow figured out it was Buster Halterman (!) so obviously then went really in-depth into the origins of the “Buster Grind”. The full trick history, but as it was a dream I can’t remember any of it!
I don’t often remember my dreams, but it seems quite possible I dream about old obscure skateboard tricks

Most skate dreams are based on me trying to skate janky boards or throwing down a sheet of paper or just griptape and trying to skate it. I remember trying to skate on a shoe once. Mostly i’m in Barca and it’s the most amazing EA skate utopia and I can’t do anything because my gear is impossible. Every now and again I skate amazingly even on something weird.
I had one where my board would flex when ollieing… tail to the ground before the nose lifted, then spring into the air as I jumped.
That was years ago, but I often think of it.
due to broken sleep from the stupid election had some weird dreams last night. had a dream i was skating in an awesome multistorey car park (this is quite a common dream for me) but then i left my board there. went back and i kept finding abandoned boards under cars but none of them were mine. sad
My board always loses all gravity, so I’ll be riding along and try a 360 flip and the flick causes the board to fly off into outer space. I spend the whole dream trying to stomp the board down but can’t. So annoying as I spend more time skating in my dreams than real life these days and it’s always a shit session.

I had a weird one last night. At some strange campus event with a load of well off students. DC Shoes sponsor the event and want everyone to try out their new range of jackets and help promote them. To be honest the jackets were cool but the colour ways were different. Every jacket was a combination of navy blue and orange or brown. The white was gone. Anyway, we’re wearing these jackets and I manage to come up with this line which the DC Shoes guys think is amazing. “A jacket needs to be like your lover, they keep you warm but also let you breathe”. I dunno? I tap out.

Had a dream this morning that I was in some type of IRL hangout space for forumers which seemed to be a pub garden or something. There was a chair up a tree that one of you was in charge of putting the ladder up to every day but nobody really used, so I’d declared that I’d be happy to be the regular chair sitter and was up there drying my washing. It was nice up there, nice view. I think we had a swimming pool as well. Some kid threw a can of coke up at me and got it all over my white shirts so I went mental and chased him out of there. I also made my first ever post on twitter but my username was francois, who was sat next to me up the tree at the time which made it a bit embarrassing.
At one point I told one of you that I’d be part of the group for 21 years. Which is true. Holy shit.
