I also feel like Mark Suciu dropping 20 parts a year until he won it has kind of left the wrong impression on what it takes to win SOTY for us the audience.

If Yuto had filmed his whole part with the same tricks in San Francisco he would’ve won. Silvas put down some great tricks on classic spots and Thrasher eat that shit up
When was the last time someone won SOTY with lots of non US footage? Surprising enough when East coast skaters win it.
Only part I recall from Silvas this year was that Thrasher one last week. Maybe there was a Primitive part earlier in the year?
