Feels like this could have been front page news at some point in the past, but we’re all just so fatigued with life that we don’t have any brain space for ‘aliens clearly exist’

Stop the world I want to get off, NASA is sending people to the moon this week. I feel like it hasn’t even been mentioned in the news with so much BS going on.

The Moon. Launch is targeted for no earlier than 6:24 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 1, with a two-hour launch window. Additional opportunities for launch run through Monday, April 6.

They did a massive promo a few years ago with Metallica and it looked like they were going to be spending millions on advertising it and making loads of programs and content…. Then nothing.

up to15k mph now!!! Haha.

What the fuck. Waiting for little man to wake up to show him. My sister signed him up to some NASA thing where his name is on some disc on Orion

It blows my mind that humans can do this, they’re in a little tiny pod sitting on top of a giant explosion that puts them in the perfect trajectory at 20000 mph to slingshot around the moon. And then they had to fix the toilet. It’s so mad.

I like that there’s a live stream of the whole thing as well, it’s amazing to watch. Even the couple of hours of people preparing for liftoff was cool to have on in the background
