The keeping angle is where I struggle. I’d like to trim it back. Honestly. Definitely not selling my Mo Wax though, no chance. Or my Dischord. Or my SST. Definitely not the Warp, no.
And it just carries on in that vein. And I move all that unplayed-in-years vinyl to my next house. It even has its own room these days. No one goes in there, but I’m damn sure not ready to let it go just yet…

Going to sound like a Spotify Wrapped truther, but was there any overlap between your top artists and songs? There wasn’t for me and anyone else’s that I saw.
Also Talking Heads made my top 5 artists but not one of their songs was in my top 100. I smell a rat.

My top 5 songs were all from the new Alkaline Trio album, so yea, lots of overlap haha. Though I was surprised as while I did listen to that album a lot, there’s no Les Savy Fav in my top 5 songs, and only 1 track in my top 10, even though they were my most played artist this year.
I read that Spotify fired most of the team that dealt with genre and classification data earlier in the year though, which is why the data feels a bit sparse this year.
Hang on a minute, I just checked and there’s not a single at the drive in song in my top songs list, despite them supposedly bring my 5th most played…
Which is also odd because I did have a big binge on their albums a few months ago

Personally, I’m confused as to WTF the genres Cyberpunk Turntablism Hip Hop or Atmospheric Vocal Liquid Funk are.
