Is docking dogs tails still a thing people do? I thought it was not supposed to happen anymore.
Only for medical reasons. Some people still do it in the US though. Hopefully that’s an unrealistic picture, poor guy had his virtual ears docked too!

It’s still legal to dock tails of working/gun dogs. Still unnecessary too.

Yeah you’re not allowed to do it in the UK. I’ve absolutely no idea why anyone would do it. Their ears are beautiful.

Nice one, I did consider donating my dog to you, the other night he ate something ungodly on his walk, I couldn’t bring myself to stop him as the last thing I pulled from his jaws was cat shit. He spewed in all three bedrooms during the night and waited until I’d finished cleaning and disinfecting carpets and bedding to show me his ender on the stairs. Could’ve throttled him.
I love him to bits really.
He’s a Jack Russel, before we rescued him he was used as a bait dog and ended up isolated with kennel cough and chewed his tail off through stress.
In the past more than a few dog owners have given me shit for docking his tail, which was I was not prepared for.!
Edit this was the state he was in when we first got him and about 3 months later.

Chilling with a bottle of red after spending the last 2 hours in keighley skate park with my two girls. My first time riding at a skate park and had an absolutely brilliant time, most of my bones are going hurt tomorrow but I don’t care we all had so much fun. I’m sure there might be a few photos later.
Younger one still doesn’t mind a photo, the older one I have to be a little more sneaky with photos.
