Had a fun skateboard tonight before Tier 4. I’m unbelievably over this shit and felt unmotivated and shit for the last 10 days. But today I had fun. A friend took a couple of pictures as well. I think it’s also because of self isolation for 7 days (done now) I couldn’t see my little boy for the 3 days at the weekend, so been about the same amount of time since I last saw him.
Enjoyed myself today though.

I’m a bit late for the Waitrose circlejerk, but I concur - their produce is far better than that of their competitors, and is only marginally more expensive. Their reductions are generally quite good, and the shopping experience almost always tends to be a convivial one. They also sell various interesting things that one doesn’t tend to find elsewhere. As it happens, I queued up there at 6.45 this morning for it to open in order to get a chicken, as - like in the pics above - over the last few days most stuff has been sold out later in the day.

Just want to say thank you to all the regular faces on here. I don’t post much (and generally regret it when I do) but I lurk pretty hard and have really appreciated all the banter, advice, politics and random bullshit this year…

My dad came to our house for Christmas Day and loved every minute of it.
For those who know me, this is probably the biggest parent/child/grandchild breakthrough in over a decade.

Also - me, her indoors and the nipper went to a private skatepark today and had an indoor park sesh for the first time in a very, very long time.
Before I had kids/regular job I never understood the ‘I just don’t have time to skate’ thing - now I do.
Did basically fuck all but amused myself on a 4 ft quarter and watched my kid ride over a driveway on her own.
Off again tomorrow!

Daughter put a kiddie plaster on the back of my hand and it stayed there for about a day as it felt like I didn’t have the time to take it off.
You got to have a really solid relationship with your missus so you both allow each other your own time. Big up all those forum other halves who encourage you to get a skate in!

Had a pretty rad New Year’s Eve and then a lazy day nursing a minor hangover today. Was stinking hot until about 6:30pm, managed to squeeze in a walk with my partner and our five month old, as the other kids are at their respective other parents. Took some beers and wandered past my slappy curb and got a bit of practice in whilst enjoying a cold beverage and some gentle encourage from my better half on my poor frontside technique. Backside seems quite consistent
