Ok so great observation regarding the state of that place.
I was taken to ‘the old strip’ and my god is it a weird and dare it say it wonderful place.
There was a guy charging $20 to kick him in the bollocks and if you knocked him over you’d get your money back. Word on the street is that he’s never fallen over.
The old strip is kind of fun though. I wanted to try that thing that’s like a superman zip line down the length of it
We went into the golden nugget casino when we were down there and it was like stepping into a wetherspoons. The floor was wet in places and everything stank of stale beer and wee
Oh its for sure seedy. As soon as they built the super casinos the old strip was just left to rot basically. So many mental health cases just ambling around with the junkies and hookers. Felt super sketchy and not necessarily in a good way
I don’t know why but every US city I’ve ever visited has had a lot more “degenerates” wandering around - homeless, prostitutes, junkies. Much more than I ever see in UK cities
San Francisco was amazing but you can see why people complain about the poo everywhere…
The U.K has social care, unlike the U.S… while still underfunded and stretched. There is a safety net in place of sorts. Anyone here can walk in off the street and get help from the NHS, ect without worrying about being in massive debt or turned away for not having a pot to piss in… unlike America.
Settled down to watch England, belly full of fish and chips, having finally moved house after selling 7 months ago. Loads of work now to do but I’m chuffed to bits with the place.
Went to the premiere of ‘Foothills’ last night, the new video from the Huddersfield ‘Mashlife’ crew.
Top evening - Felix in the house, Farran, Rozee etc etc.
Good shit - dope vid with tons of brand new (to me) spots/ditches/dudes.
