I thought this story was going to end with a swinging situation at the end when they pulled their table over but you’ve blown it by drinking all the wine. They’ll be at their apartment talking about the tight arse drunk.

Jokes aside, working out bill splitting is either the easiest thing in the world, or the most annoying.
With close friends of similar means… easy. 50/50, it will all come out in the wash across the course of a lifetime if you didn’t order exactly the same.
With friends of different means, or perhaps not so close… it’s probably easy enough to know if you need to go 50/50, or make a rough attempt at a more equitable split. But it’s likely going to be unspoken and streamlined enough…
But sometimes… dear fucking god… just give me the whole bill before I claw my fucking brain out listening to all the different machinations that people are proposing.

It was annoying I’d have happily paid it all if I’d known what we were splitting before they paid. It was only the drinks bill that was split and it was only really my bottle of wine that was on there…plus like 10 Euro for other drinks

Back in Suffolk now Les, but we were near Penallt.
Found out today the useless gatekeepers of our prop making union have quit their roles and potentially a few of us could jump in an actually take the reigns and make a huge change for everyone in our industry that’s been well overdue. Exciting but the level of responsibility trying to boost everyone’s worth without alienating the HODs is daunting. But you only get one shot at this for your colleagues. Stoked but defo need a plan B if we poke the hornets nest too much.

This was fucking great, some amazing bands, really nice place, loads of ace dogs everywhere. Also our daughter met another kid her age and her parents were sound so it meant we could all enjoy the music taking turns looking out for them while they jumped about on some hay bales all weekend.

It’s been to two in a row now so can say… back from my vans annual trip to VW Action at Santa Pod. I’ve been spamming my stories thingy over the weekend but might post a few pictures of various meals and strangers vehicles on Insta during the week.
Also my little Tamiya Grasshopper / Falcon hybrid somehow made it through to round two of RC drag racing… then a child beat me by miles.
