Happy birthday.
Mine is tomorrow. My wife asked me what I wanted, I said the only thing I’m about to buy for myself was some skate stuff and she’s welcome to grab that for me.
So off she and my son went to the skate shop to buy some Ace 22s and a 10 inch board. I would love to have seen the face of whoever was behind the counter when she insisted that I wanted those specific trucks with a 10 inch board.

I just bumped into my old art sculpture teacher from secondary school for the first time since I left in 94.
He and His classes were amazing and we did loads of clay sculpting which I got my highest GCSE in . He is the reason I went on to become a model maker and now prop maker and was and absolutely inspiration to me .
When I saw him I bellowed his name and hugged him and we talked for ages .
I couldn’t stop thanking him for all he’s done and my career path . Think he was quite taken back .
I’m so stoked to be able to thank him , it’s made my day and I’d like to big up all the teachers on this forum as you guys inspire and change lives .

Got to skate Platia Pallouriotissas in Nicosia yesterday, which was pretty decent. Although sycamore pods are in abundance there.
Also trip is rad so far, getting out and about, visited Varosha again after they opened it up since our last visit.
Food is dope as well.

6 weeks into lecturing in a university graphic design module in a multimedia degree. So far every class has had some reference / example from skating and Factory Records. Today was a personal highlight featuring pulsar CP-1919, Don Pendleton, Alien Workshop and Volcom’s print ads from 2010-14 where designer Hovin Wang cut out prints and scanned them into Photoshop to make proper collages with fairly minimal computer work.
Bizarrely, nobody in the class has heard of Factory Records or Joy Division though.
