Stoked!

Yep, really surprised me too. I showed a slide of pulsar CP-1919, which is the black on white original from which Savile made the cover for Unknown Pleasures. I asked if anybody recognised it and one girl said she knew it from t-shirts, but didn’t know the context.
I’m in Dublin City University, which is more of a technical university and definitely not an art or design college

Weird how stuff we take for granted as culturally important just passes whole generations by. I worked with a few younger people (only about 10 years) and for example one fairly clued up guy was only vaguely aware of the beastie boys, like “did they wear suits?”, had never heard of orbital or the Orb, many others. But then again I have no interest in post Malone. But I have at least heard of him

Yep, can totally relate. Looks like he’d be mad tough, sounds like an absolute tinkerbell.

I’ve a feeling that he was probably thinking of The Beatles :joy:

AHH, the Beatle boys

Yeah, I’m a fan of them. They did some great songs like ‘Happiness is staring down the barrel of a warm gun’, ‘Lucy in the sky with Mike Diamond’… you know, all the tracks off Paul McCartney’s Boutique.

I played this to my dad who is a big Beatles fan, he wasn’t particularly stoked on it😐

A girl came into my old work wearing a Sonic Youth t-shirt with the cover of Goo on it. Asked her if she knew who it was - it’s Myra Hindley’s sister and her boyfriend on the way to court for the Moors Murders trial - and she tutted, rolled her eyes and said, “Yeah. It’s Sonic Youth”.

Work monthly 121 went really well again, good start to the weekend. I’m pinching myself because I’m expecting every meeting to end with a P45. They mentioned how my confidence has grown a lot since I started.

Off to go round HMS victory tomorrow  and pay a visit to Bored of Southsea.

Then day off in London next Wednesday, hit up that Palace shop and going to some Gucci exhibition as well.
