Oh shit, sorry to piss on your chips voods!
I got a nice envelope filled with a painting and lots of splendidly random bits and bobs from Avi after sending him an Observers book of Butterflies a few years back.
Still stoked on that (to keep things less braggy and more on topic).
Nah, infact itās nice to know more about it, itās stuffed away in a draw. It was just going to get binned so I took it. Forgot I had it until the Blender talk started, haha.
Jim Thiebaud sent me a page from Gonzās sketchbook and a 6x4 heād doodled on.
Broken up for half term.
Polar Leeds lurk yesterday then witnessed Oski and related heads destroy the Project House demo in Leeds.
Then went to Felix Owusu-Kwartengās 60th birthday and listened to him and his family play live music.
Stoked.
One year working for Cannabis Seed company. Had my maternity cover made permanent a few months ago, owner and my direct boss are great.
Couldnāt be happier at work. We got an egg BBQ a couple of weeks ago and christened it this lunch time!
Stoked for ya mate
Huh, youāre pregnant?
Taking 20 kids on a school trip to the skatepark today.
Mitigates the near 2 hour commute this morning due to accidents and road closures.
Checked my bank account and there was a bit more in there than I expected considering itās nearly the end of the month⦠Iāve only had a Ā£300 credit from the SLC (Student Loans Company)! Stoked. Iām guessing itās all paid off now then?
Well jealous, you inspired me to check mine ⦠still got 14k left for fuck sake.
Tuition fees are mental now.
I checked mine the other day when I had some reform party leaflets through with a shockingly sensible policy on student loans interest. Both were harrowing.
About to leave for Copenhagen on the first skate trip Iāve ever been on.
Spot recommendations for timid old guys welcome.
Israelās square and that bank to ledge spot Tom Penny skates here.
Nansensgade Skatepark looks amazing but Iāve heard itās hard to skate.
I wanted to go to Copenhagen on a skate trip this Summer but Iām going to Sofia now.
Nah, Iād say itās a really accessible spot. Some of the banks are challenging but thereās fun mellow bits that are more than enough to keep you entertained. The only negative is the tarmac floor was starting to degrade a bit the last time I skated it a couple of years ago
So I had my biked nicked from outside Nursery on Wednesday. Get a whatsapp from one of the Mumās saying she has spotted it locked up on her road. Head straight up there calling 101 on the way. Didnāt think they would answer or do anything, but they did and the operator said they would get someone there asap. Not sure what they could do, but in case it was outside the thiefās house they could come in handy. Get there and my bike is d-locked to a post with a brand new folding bike. So wait for police before trying to free it. Start chatting to the person whoās house it was locked up outside and turns out there are loads of stolen bikes locked up on their road and they would disappear over night and then a new set would arrive through the week.
2 hours pass and still no police, then another guy from across the street comes out and offers to angle grind the lock for me, what a legend!!! So now have my bike and someone elseās stolen bike. The police despatch office was just over the road hidden on the trading estate, so dropped of the bike to them, even though they did not want it. Soo stoked I got my bike back!!!
Taking a second group to the park today, 15 girls getting skate lessons from someone local who has done the skateboardgb course.
Had a leaflet in my youngest bag about skateboard lessons. Makes me wonder who local is doing them.
Just realised today marked 10 years since I saw Sabbath at Hyde Park with fellow forum nerds @gawkrodger, @tomgnargore and non forumer Brute. Very last minute thing for me as I hadnāt been able to get a ticket then get a call from Gawk to say he had one spare and was leaving Wolves in the next hour. Quick beg to my boss and work and off we went!
