First time abroad in six years and weāre staying in a villa with a pool in the middle of nowhere in the Dordogne. The view is 360 degree rolling hills and sunflower fields in full bloom. 29 degrees and sunny. Kids are enjoying it and behaving, nowhere sells bad red wine, we swam in a lake today and going to St Emilion tomorrow to sample the good stuff. Steak and salad every night. So good.

Only real downer seems to be that Iām 85% sure my mother in law saw some drunk holiday sex on the outdoor seating area last night after we thought theyād all gone to bed. Very frosty atmosphere today for no other obvious reason. Canāt really ask to confirm if itās the case so just have to style it out.

Had a properly great day at Alton Towers with my daughter for her 11th as she was bang on 140cm so could go on proper rides with me at last.
Only a psychopath could have designed The Smiler. Fucking loved every second of that. Managed to finally get on Galactica/Air at the end of the day as that thing is always broken/closed.

Went last night for the final of the 5 nights.
Must admit my primary motivation was just to take my three teenage daughters (who were uber-stoked). Turned into one of the best nights out Iāve ever had though!

A mate I skate with went back in June and was totally gassed on it. I couldnāt really relate and if Iām honest I think the latent music snob in me was a bit like āget a grip mateā. Goes to show, dunnit.

Managed to get my contract to SIM only 2 months early with free EU roaming and unlimited everything else for like Ā£28.
Donāt hesitate to ring these fuckers, complain, give them a logical answer why you will leave then they come back with something actually good.
EDIT: forgot to mention, got 25% off my energy bill the other day, the company I was with was taken over. Just phoned them up saying I didnāt agree to this shit etc etc, you guys make billions. Got 25% of what I owed removed from the account.
