The bowl is amazing.
Was driving home today from Kendal when a Lancaster Bomber flew right over me as I neared Lake Windermere. It was definitely flying less than 100ft was much quieter than the usual Eurofighters that tear up and down the lakes.

Nice. I saw a carrier plane flying low a few weeks back heading inland over Barmouth estuary / bridge. Huge thing even from a mile or two away. Not far from the Mach loop I believe. Heard the jets frequently but didnât see any.
Really wanted to Catch a Mach loop when I was in the area the other week but nothing scheduled that weekend.
They tend not to train on weekends Iâm usually working the lakes at least twice a week and I routinely find myself under their flight path, scariest was a cottage up a hill near troutbeck. From where I was working they were literally a stones throw from me there was 5 tailing each other up to penrith and back, stones and moss rattling off the roof and ground shaking.

Whilst the jets are loud I donât think the bombers and âquieterâ belong in the same sentence unless itâs âfuck I wish they were quieterâ
I lived near Duxford for a fair while and eventually you get bored of spitfires and the (two remaining) bombers

I was in Cornwall for new yearâs eve many yonks ago, a few of us had been to see Sasha (I think) and were in a pub getting food / mangled again on new years day⌠Pub was on top of a hill and as we left I saw a spitfire coming towards us directly at / over the pub. Still feeling a bit clubbed up I did a âhands in the airâ as it came over. He must have seen me cos he slammed the thing up into a climb and did a loop right over us, then did a little âsee yaâ wiggle on the way off. Stoked.

Friday 
Was skating in a town about 20 minutes from mine, saw a missed call form a neighbour, called back, was told a big fox was in the vineyard in front of my place, where my hens were roaming freely. Had a heart attack, drove back home at Mach Busenitz, called another neighbour who was kind enough to go to the vineyard and try to scare the bloody fox and see what was going on until I made it home. Found my lovely hens on my terrace, all in good shape. That was like an hour ago and my heart is still beating at like 750 BPM. Fucking relieved though, having a hen killed by that fox in July was enough for a while. Gonna thank my neighbor with a good bottle of wine.
tldr: fox, chickens, all good in the end, franc venting
