Cardiff has been pretty funny last few days, Slayer fans everywhere yesterday, Oasis fans today. Yesterday was loads of bald blokes in cargo shorts today it’s just a sea of bucket hats.
Went to see Blossoms / Phonics at Finsbury Park yesterday and there were a LOT of bucket hats etc floating about.
During the herding out at the end I heard a conversation along the lines of…
“Why have people come here instead of going to see Oasis?”
“Because they couldn’t get tickets to see Oasis”.
Good day yesterday. Boss gave me the day off because shits been quite hectic at work this week so got to have a proper father daughter day with my 2 year old. Hit an outdoor swimming pool in the morning and a local community garden in the afternoon called Nettleford. Spent our time chasing bees, making dens, eating wild strawberries, and all that good stuff. Got to check out a few spots also (see the spot spotting thread). Also they’ve got a free talk on this month there on Brutalist architecture in Brum.
Potentially meeting my homie who lives in Melbourne in Phuket for a week in August.
Managed to get my flights held from a trip to the US in May that I didn’t go on. Hoping I can use it for some of the flight to Phuket then I would need to pay maybe £350 extra for the difference.
Will try tonight / tomorrow if someone at BA answers the phone - fingers crossed. In mind this will be fine
Completed all 5 sudoku’s in this week’s Artisinal Sudoku newsletter in a decent amount of time and without too much floundering around logic on the harder ones.
Had a stressful day at work, came back home, went for an impromptu skate around the house, new bushings, new shoes, zero expectations, learnt a new move dancing on a curb, had 2 cans chilling with my cats in the garden, feeling so good now.
