That’s great going, you’ll be under 25 in no time.
Sorry for your loss mate. Sounds like you’re using the grief in a positive way though - big up.
I don’t paticularly love running but there’s nothing better than getting deep into the countryside on a run.
My regular loop is over 5 miles and I’ll be unlucky to pass 1 person.
Don’t stress about times.
Get shot of them asap. If you’re running that often you’re going to fuck yourself up without proper running shoes.
My ADHD is saying spend loads of money on some shoes and start running.
Could be telling me worse things.
Thanks chaps, trying to make the best of a shit situation. Still a work in progress after deciding to smash a double McDonald’s on Thursday as a reward for Wednesdays run. That was probably last nights motivation.
I’ve bought some decent shoes, but going away in 2 weeks and will involve lots of walking and don’t want them to be sweat rags by the time I go so trying to hold out!
Running in non-running shoes will fuck you up.
Yep. Don’t want to be a twat about it, but that sense of satisfaction and achievement you’re feeling right now is something you want to continue to enjoy. And you’re clearly pushing yourself to progress.
It’ll all dissipate real quick when plantar fasciitis or some other injury/debilitation enters the chat.
Don’t risk that. They’re running shoes. Run in them. From personal experience, one strenuous run with the wrong kit can screw you over for ages.
I’ll shut up now. ![]()
Warning heeded, I’ve been doing a slightly longer Sunday morning run around a lovely national trust (as @Les_Zeppelin says, makes all the difference) that’s accessible from my house and want to step up closer to 10k/an hour so will give them a go tomorrow.
Also on the injury front try and ramp up the mileage gradually, injuries with running aren’t usually sudden like skating injuries they tend to be things that build over time.
Kids have asked to go to the skatepark again for the second week running so Ive skated again. Ollied up a little platform (barely) and a tiny kid said “woah how do you ollie that high? i can’t ollie that high! Woah” and I’ll just be basking in the glow of that like Reece Forbes for the next year or two.
Street League is Street League but those finals in Paris were pretty cool. Made me happy. Milou’s banger was pretty damn good.
Correct, but that was sick comp. Also love Vincent.
I only watched the finals. Street League is to skateboarding what gummy worms are to food. It’s horrible but it will make you happy every once in a while.
Day drinking in the New Forest. This is my new happy place.
Last night I was skating with a young lad who went to SLS in Paris. He Skated about a bit, saw NyJah in the wild then went to the comp. Sounded like a pretty fun trip to be honest ![]()
Sunday jobs done. Hovered the house, cleaned out the cat litter box, moved furniture around in my daughter’s room, cleaned the bog, changed 2 electrical sockets to fancy USB ones without burning down the house, ate a whole packet of cookies, done the washing up.
Too rainy to go out in the bike so its time to play mario kart by the fire
Yeah I bet Paris is great if you’re English.

I’ve heard it’s an….acquired taste?
Haha!
Have you heard about this?
