Wife got out of surgery ok. Looks like someone he dropped a paving slab on her neck, the bruise is sick. Apparently her voice might change as well.
Grateful she’s through it. A night in the hospital and home tomorrow hopefully.

Officially got made redundant today lol. Think I’m stoked tbh. Get paid till Aug 31st and get no redundancy pay out but as sad as it is to leave the kids, I think I’ve done my time in the trenches. One love to the precariat though still - best knobheads ever.

Absolutely banging lightning storm atm. Garden needs it so bad
Tonight’s run club sesh was ten laps flat out. Pretty pleased with that. No headphones allowed so it was absolutely awful spending 18 minutes with my own thoughts though.

Arms like twiglets mate, just wanna try to shift a bit of beer belly, I’m not fat just that.
Gunna order some kettle bells to do a bit more of what I was doing today at home.
Good for you man, I tried to get into it for years, felt like a chore at first and only really stuck the last 2 years or so. Love it now and I only take one day of a week. Feel so much better mentally and physically. It’s amazing when you start seeing the difference in the mirror.

Want to do some more at home before I get a David Lloyd membership (mate works there so can get a chunky discount) but still over £100 a month.
Might just get these kettle bells for home (my friend sent me the exercises we did today and some more) and save the money and join Pure Gym or something and then pay for a session or two with someone to show me what to do, because without my mates there apart from basic shit - I have fuck all idea what I was doing.
I did some shoulder presses as well today fucking hell that was hard.
Less belly and not twiglet arms would be cool and to just feel a bit better about myself in general is the goal, oh and it might help with skating a bit.
Nedders get an app to track progress (I use simple workout log) it really gives you incentive. I used to be like you, twiglet arms but am filling out a bit now. I go at least twice a week but been doing it 3 years now, am now on autopilot. And like @Snurp said do what you want to do. It’s mad when you notice t shirts getting tighter but not because of fat haha
Gym here is so cheap, yearly works out like 1 EUR a day
