If she didnt she was still the one that branded them a ridiculous clusterfuck of totally uncool jokers
Donât think so, but certainly popularised it with her artwork & graphic design, of which the Supreme logo is a carbon copy.
I thought everyone would get that I was being rhetorical, it was designed by Paul Renner and released in 1927.
Are you saying Kruger appropriated Supreme, or Supreme Kruger?
Edit. I re-read (itâs early), youâre saying Supreme appropriated Krugerâs visual style but that didnât change the fact that people wanted to buy their clothes. I get you
Iâve been awake 15 minutes
My favorite bootleg chicken shop was called Kenâs Tuck-in Fried Chicken.
Has Babz Kruger ever tried to take legal action against Supreme?
Was Kruger widely known in the art world at the time or was she still cutting her teeth?
Follow up question: should a different set of ethics apply to raising from an unknown or independent artist as opposed to a corporation or successful company
I have no allegiance to Kruger or supreme, but just interested in the answers
Why does every barber have a Jack Daniels bottle for the water squirter?
Jack Daniels give them to barbers as free advertising. I asked mine about it.
Kruger was definitely more well known at that point, albeit in the art world. A lot of her career and her style came together in the 80s.
Her 2 most famous pieces were done before 1990.
Are the Merchant Navy involved in supplying barbers too? Seems to be a lot of unrelated nautical crap around these places nowadays. When did these types of men get into sailing ships instead of motorbikes?
Maybe that was because the beards and sailor tattoos trend got big for a second, get that crowd in?
Has to be. Keep 'em sweet with a stencil of a shipâs steering wheel and some sexy mermaid tattoo âartâ, and off you go.
Supreme threatened to sue another brand which copied their logo. Babz couldnât care less it seems.
Nothing makes it clearer that an argument is going to be one sided than the term âovergrown skatersâ
Chill out Supreme leader. I just think itâs interesting to see Krugerâs opinion on it. I have no problem with how Supreme operate, I quite like a lot of the stuff they do.
