The Bunt

Tough one indeed.
Got it 2 seconds before Cephas.

Good pod! Doesn’t sound like he can have saved much of the money he earned in the past but he’s left with some good memories at least.

So fucking funny that he had the AVE bench on his front yard for ten years haha. Legend!

Oh excited by this one! Always wanted to see what happened to him. He was one of my favs BITD and felt like he disappeared earlier than you’d expect.

Fun listen, but Californian burn out vibes. A lot of talk about ā€˜bagging’ ā€˜chicks’ and misspending money! Wish more of the pros from this era managed their money a bit better.

Fuck. Gonna be tough to get through this one without cringing I reckon….

Might have to skip this one, I’ll happily watch old sections of his but I really don’t want to hear him speak.

So I pressed play anyway, ā€˜I don’t like favourite’, I’m out.

hahaha this is brilliant

The quote to Jim T after the Cinematographer Project premier was pretty funny!

Omg haha how it feels not being able to skip or click away.

Managed 10 seconds of that Bunt Dill interview. Went back to season1 and am listening to the TJ Rogers one.

The unedited, original TJ Togers one was incredible. He called out Nike for exploiting skateboarders through their ā€˜we’re not paying you but here’s 15 pairs of Dunks’ to about a million skaters. He also directly called out a bunch of dark men by name etc.
Very funny but it got taken down and re-edited

I went looking for the old Slap Pals Dill interview which was hilarious but it looks as though it’s been completely scrubbed from the web sadly

The clip of dude falling asleep was enough to get a gauge of how useless Dill’s input really is.
I just can’t click the main cast! just seeing him sat like that feels curated. He’s really thought about how he sits, cross legged, smoking so he looks different to the average skater sat with no thought, just a skater talking. I just feel Dill thinks far too much about himself and what he’s done or doing to make himself look cooler than he actually is.

Dill’s is the best Bunt ive heard in ages.
stories for days, contradictory rambling shambles responses, skate nerd 100%. justyfing eating fish made me splutter, mhaha

I lasted the distance because I’ve always enjoyed his ramblings, and my main takeaway was that Dill is very keen for us to know he is still a shagger. Fair play to the lad.

@andy_smoke @leatherhead agreed

I feel a bit meh when I read comments by people saying ā€œDill?? Pass!ā€ and the like. The guy’s a legend and a good talker. If you really don’t like him, fine but honestly his interview is more entertaining than others. I will say he does big himself up a bit at times but judging by the life he’s had I’d let that pass as a survival skill.

Also, people judging the podcast off one clever YouTube snippet need to realise donovon has a full time job outside the show. Listening to the audio he doesn’t sound sleepy at all.

Haven’t finished listening, about to get to the rapid fire… Over 3 1/2 hours season finale!

He’s no legend really is he, come on. He was in a place at the time where very influencial people were making some marks in skate history and eventually he made a few good marks himself, he can have props from me for those, I enjoyed some of his output but I can still be irritated by his overall guise, even though I don’t know the ā€˜real’ Dill. I think that’s fine, and you can be annoyed at me for it because I don’t see him as a ā€œlegendā€.
