I hear that. My brother in law and father in law are genuinely really nice people. But incredibly hard work and unintentionally quite rude sometimes. Certainly a test of patience when they’re staying in your home over the festive period.

Was surprisingly chill day at in-laws this year. Me and the wife didn’t get gifts for each other, I got a ps5 earlier in the year and she got a new paddle board so we were even. Daughter smashed it though, Harry potter mad so she got all the mini figs with hogwarts castle and adjoining class rooms and and add ons etc and the Lego Harry potter video games collection which we’ve been playing together.
The only thing irritating aspect for me this time of year s both our folks have 70" hd tvs and don’t know how to locate hd channels or turn smooth motion off on the settings. All terrestrial digital channels seem to be 140p these days I’ve given up trying to educate them.

God yeah, my parents place is the same. it’s surprisingly difficult to convey the differences even when you know what you’re talking about. Most people don’t care because they don’t know the difference, no matter how weird films can look as they suddenly look like Coronation St.

They actually get used a lot. Now I have learned that you can leave some wine in the bottle for another day.

couple years back my mother decided to splash some cash and buy a 4k TV, set it all up herself etc. I ended up watching something on it a year or two later and she had the thing connected via SCART…no idea how or where she found a 4k TV with SCART or how she didn’t notice it looked awful, though to be fair I don’t think she noticed that I’d switched it to HDMI either.
