The Computer/Software/Marketing Help Thread

Yeah, had a browse of the site and there’s some kind of bitcoin/ethereum mining script finding its way into the page.

Your basic options are to track down and delete the malicious code and/or upgrade to the latest version of Indexhibit to prevent it happening again.

Thanks for having a look. I did the upgrade and it seems to have sorted it out.

Anyone here use a laptop for hobby-level video editing?

Doesn’t matter if it’s an older one - just looking for recommendations of one that works well on a budget.

My mid level 2012 Lenovo is getting a bit creaky.. even after a SSD & a tickle of extra RAM.

Cheers!

Could someone point me in the right direction for some videos/courses on digital marketing? Landing pages, SEO etc.

I have been semi retired for 3 years and have ended up with the bright idea of jumping back in the deep end with a new venture and definitely need to brush up my basic knowledge on this subject.

Cheers!

Not being funny but iirc you can feed it a URL and get it to critique the page on how you would improve it for certain audiences, and how to plan campaigns etc. completely mad

@ForwardMotion give me a ring mate.

Ive been using it for some SEO stuff which worked out really well. Think I need to really go down a few rabbit holes over a few evenings now.

Loads of people chatting about it on twitter

There is a good few bits on reddit about using it alongside Dripify for LinkedIn, which if it does end up working out, will make life more enjoyable!

I went for a refurbed Lenovo V15 with an AMD Ryzen 5 & 16GB of RAM and have installed the last updated version of Davinci Resolve 17.

Seems OK so far.

What’s the best way for me to share a folder of PDF’s with a client from another company?

I have tried via Teams but the people on the other side can’t access them - it’s saying they need further permission apparently.

Ideally, I don’t want them having to sign up and create an account with anything like Dropbox.

The big dog CEO of the client is involved so I want it to be as simple as possible.

They won’t give us access to their HR platform annoyingly because data protection :man_shrugging:t2:

Are there too many to bung in a zip folder and email?

Depending on the level of security, perhaps a folder in Google drive and share the folder to with “anyone with link”.
