Big result! Shame Jagger got bronze though.

Judging was a bit suspect though.

Shame?

Stoked that Yuto won mainly because I put some money on it, and he did deserve it, but that judging was highly suspicious in places

Yerah, as in I hoped Jagger was nowhere near the podium.

shame Milou didn’t get bronze, he’s rad and seemed to be enjoying the whole thing

I wanted Nigel to get Bronze so I could watch him lose.

Kelvin getting silver is pretty mad.

Aurelien blew it after looking solid. Shin didn’t even get to the finals.

Two Cuntriama riders on the podium :grimacing:

Fuck! Their marketing strategy might be working.

BBC anchor keeps calling the skaters ‘characters’ as if the skaters are all crazy stereotypes.

Nyjah about to spiral into a dark, So-Cal partying nightmare.

Stoked on the results! Had £50 on Yuto, glad Kelvin got in their due to being an oldie and probably won’t make Paris, and although it’s fun to talk shit on jagger I respect how up front he is about what he wants

I was planning on watching it all later having recorded it. Got back in from the dog walk at just after 5 and stuck the tv on and best trick was on. Nigel waaaay down in the results was a surprise. Yuto win was a stoker. Got some catching up to do - not quite the same now I know the end result but that’s my wet Sunday sorted.

Yeah I don’t understand how the kickflip frontside tailslide only got 8.4 or whatever it was

Nope, you’ve put me off gambling - most of the time. Just not major tournament football. Can’t even remember the last time I bet on UFC.

Slightly unrelated @hugo but that photo you put on insta (I think) of your two nippers was lovely. Henry’s smile

Just finished watching it. It was genuinely exciting.

Really stoked Yuto won and as said, it would have been good to see Milou in top 3. I’m a fan.

I’m not a fan of Kelvin really but for Brazil to place top 3 in the first Olympics after 20 years of that country going ham for anything contest related meant it was deserved, to me.

I did like the fact that towards the end, he was filmed climbing fences to get to where he needed to go. You won’t get that in Artistic Swimming.

Also, seeing borders and nationality not being an issue when it came to back slapping the rest of the skaters on the course was great.

I thought Churchill was good on the commentary and Ed Leigh was good for talking in non-skate heavy terms to general audience, too…Tim Warwick (?) was very repetitive for someone who only had about 3 minutes on air.
But I really do with we had 3 full time skaters commentating on the BBC and not Churchill and a couple of Snowboarders.
