About the watch the Women’s Finals on BBC. Too bad I saw the results when I Googled the schedules. Oh well.
My sister enjoyed it. Seemed to enjoy the bails more though!
Wife not bothered, kids aren’t either. Will try daughter with the women’s on iplayer

I’ve been watching that today too.
Seems weird, but skateboarding is kind of the ultimate Olympic sport. It’s just coming across as being so friendly and inclusive. I overheard the two till attendants in the petrol station talking about it today, kind of mocking but they’d both been watching it and were clearly loving it.
This is definitely a better look for skateboarding than I imagined. And I have a very negative view of competitions in general.

Yeah, it didn’t hurt us at all in the end. Street League was already a thing but its existence or the Olympics don’t change skateboarding’s place or importance in my life as an old fat skate rat.
Looking forward to watching the park comps now!

Who do we think is likely to win women’s pool (or park or whatever it’s called)? Annoyed that I missed out on Yuto as I was gonna put £50 on him, I want to have another shot but not really up on current pool rankings
Was this in the qualifying heats? Who was it? I know that there were some very late changes to who competed because some of the skaters like Candy Jacob had to isolate and miss the comp. She’s still stuck in her room in Tokyo at the minute. So harsh!
Yeah. Alana Smith (USA). Fair enough if they had to step in at the last min, but I feel like the commentators would of known that?

Well I’m glad they have had a nice holiday out of it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for representation but at least be there to compete. Surely that would inspire people that feel marginalised so much more?

They dorked around during their runs rather than try because they wanted to be themselves rather than another competitor. Guess it was some sort of statement about not being ashamed of being gender non-confirming.
