Now, this might be a vaguely racist remark; but what is it about black skaters that makes their heelflips and shuvs just look better? I imagine it’s just happy coincidence but Stevie, Antuwan, Ishod, the guy in the clip above, Shuriken Shannon; they’ve all got particularly good heelflips and shuvs. Or is it just bias in my part?
Wasn’t there a conversation in the past which involved a discussion about varial heels and their alternative name?

I usually find tricks down stairs and handrails really boring, but I’m a huge fan of those wild multi-set runs. So cool.
Other comments:
- I hate seeing people skate barefoot, it makes me uncomfortable and I have to look away and curl my toes. Shoes and socks are encouraged.
- Some people shouldn’t wear hats or caps because it makes the head look small and the chin look weak
- No people should wear t-shirts on their heads under any circumstances
- Wanton destruction of trees should be a capital offence
- Backside lipslide front shuv is one of the coolest tricks
- Rails with little drops or gaps are in, kinked rails are out because kinks are for pussies

I’ve never understood why this is a thing. Surely it just makes your head more sweaty and uncomfortable than it would be if you just wore it like a normal person? Yet every skate trip video has at least one clip of someone with a makeshift do-rag.
