Really? He’s properly bland. Every time I see him lining up for a trick, I know exactly what it is. No flavour at all. Same for that McClung fella, who’s a few degrees away from Guy Kampfen and his squinky knees.
You have to marvel at the standard of skating they put out, but there’s not much variation in personality, style or tricks there. Apart from Frankie they are doing similar stuff on similar obstacles, with 80% of them in full sports wear getup. That said, any edit that has Tiago in it is a must, so I’ll watch everything they put out and enjoy most of it. Carlos is incredible too.
There’s definitely two or three people on the Primitive team who blend together style, trick and clothing wise and it’s probably going to cause an issue for those riders in terms of career when they can’t differentiate themselves enough to build individual followings.
But, like early 90s Plan B, late 90s Girl, early 00’s Flip, late 00’s Lakai I can see them being the team that defines this current era.
