The Continually Updated Footage Thread

What’s Lupus?

Some sort of immune deficiency disease I believe. Doesn’t go away but the symptoms manageable by meds.

MC has had it a long time I believe, 10-12 years?

That’s insane.

Mouse, Yeah, Right!, Questionable, Virtual Reality, Modus Operandi, Penal Code, Fully Flared, The Chocolate Tour and the H-Street videos are ALL videos which they had parts or heavier roles…and are unfuckwithable classics.

And then they had parts in Goldfish, the Thrasher SOTY VHS, Pretty sweet, The Flare, Adventures in Cheese, Splendid Eye Torture, Super Champion Funzone AND a ton of 411VM footage from tours, OPENERS and more.

If that is wasting your prime years, then we’re all fucked.

Auto immune disease where your immune system attacks your own body. Some of the symptoms are arthritis and fatigue, which would make skating difficult.

I once (wrongly, thankfully) got diagnosed with Lupus, so from reading up on it at the time know how gnarly it can be.

Howard and Carroll are unfuckwithable, up there in the Mount Rushmore of street skating if there ever was one.

Felt like everything he was going for (presentation, approach etc.) has been done much better already

Great part in FTC Finally too

30 min edit of insta clips. This guy is so good it’s stupid. Effortless steezy tech bangers.

Edit: First clip was a 15 minute Vans edit featuring a bunch of skaters from South East Asia skating Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Some questionable skating but a lot of rad looking spots from countries you don’t usually see.

Second clip is a relatively short one from 10c41, Vincent Nava’s old crew. Hyper goth-styled hammer skating in LA.

:innocent:

I know Robert Neal gets little to no love in here but I rate him. His languid style is brilliant

I get this mad vibe of entitled arrogance from him. Skates like a beast though.

i’ve had the good fortune to see both of them skate in their pre-Yeah Right manifestations.
Remember that switch big heel manny that Carroll did on the gap to manny pad next to SOAS that everyone used to skate? (I think it’s in his Yeah Right part EDIT - it’s not, fuck knows what it’s in)/ That was FIRST go.
I was standing there watching as he did it.
Bonkers.

You post so many clips - could we please get like a line of info about each?
Thanks.
When I see multi video clip posts I never watch them as it implies it’s just more grist for the mill, which I’m sure it isn’t as you have refined taste.

Agreed…Unless someone makes noise about why I should watch it, I pretty much won’t play it.

Give us some banging reasons as to why we need to see the clip otherwise it all gets a bit skatedaily.net if no one says anything about why they are posting.

Been seeing a couple of heads here doing that lately.

PS. Took a slam tonight so I’m gwumpy. x

as a grom I saw them at the demo for questionable at Shrewsbury. Long story short they sacked off the Mini/bowl pretty quick and retreated to the minivan.

For some reason on our way out I knocked on the van and managed to get Mike C and Rick H out for a quick photo. Rick in an inside out Slap tee (pals!) with his arm around (a shy looking) Mike in that early Droors tee with the kids looking at a grot mag with boners. Details eh :man_shrugging:t3:

Always appreciated that.

To be honest, a lot of it is! I just dump stuff in this thread.

I didn’t watch that $$$ edit for reasons mentioned above - post blindness due to being dumped unceremoniously into the thread

Watched it just now and it’s so rad. Loved the music and the accompanying interaction with the public clips. Really worth a watch.

Maybe you should all just trust my taste and watch what ever I post. I am sorting through the detritus of the interweb for you fools! And this is the thanks I get!

Carroll came to every Grand Prix and skated loads, I watched him (and Penny) more than anyone else (and trust me there were loads of ill skaters there). His contest runs were always banging, unlike 95% of the skaters that did the same run throughout the weekend, he’d improvise and add flatground tricks and wheelies on weird things no one touched to his lines, very, very tasty and spicy.
I remember thinking it was incredible to see him still going for it at 27 at the last Grand Prix, back then in my mind he was already old and legit enough to not have to prove anything to anyone after the Plan B vids and all that. 20 years later he’s still one of the best street skater ever, and every new clip we get makes our day.

I’ve been wearing Half Cabs loads these last 5 years and that has a lot to do with his liking for them in the mid 90s.

Long live MC.
