The Continually Updated Footage Thread

Joe’s skating is both relatable and unpredictable.
There’s abit of a max palmer approach to Yorkshire at play in the section too

He starts the line on a switch front board 270 (which is a mental trick) then basically falls off his board, hops back on and does a noseslide 270 on a big ledge, popped out and spun the whole way around?

It’s nothing like the Jamie Griffin one (which just skidded) – do people think noseslide 270s are a bad trick?! They’re well hard.

Anyway I think that clip captures how the spontaneousness and magic of his skating is pretty well. If anything, it’s more fun to watch than a line where he just makes both tricks and I don’t think it’s framed as something super serious or comes across like the bail was predetermined.

Not that way, the other way is harder

As in nollie backside 270 out? I disagree, you can sit on that one, lean back and spring back on yourself. To hold a noseslide then pop forwards and shift to your toes at the end for the front 270 is way harder I think.

Cool idea by Redbull here - each team gets 1 VX camera and 1 tape only to film a video on.

Have only watched Plan B’s entry so far, which was surprisingly pretty good and really well filmed by Colin McKay.

That’s a cool format for a comp. Just watched the blind edit. very high level.

Weirdly, I think the Colin McKay filmer credit is a joke as he is shown from long run up angles filming, but it’s actually all Devin Lopez who shot it.

I think.

This footage of the Plan B crew which they’d likely deem throwaway is probably my favourite Plan B release since SHS. Mad.

Santa Cruz one was pointless. Maybe i didn’t get it?

Real was GNARLY for one tape. And then the best clips from the Blind one was their two ex riders - TJ and Nassim. They smashed it.

Fuck Red Bull but fairs fair; Those clips are pretty solid.

Standard of that mini ramp game of skate was so good. Just looked up Jake Yanko and this is a fun watch.

Never being able to hold control of the game annoys me on those Mono games - but I get why.

That was a geninely exciting game…

That was sick. Some eyepoppers in there.

Dunno why Chris Roberts was there, may as well just have a cardboard cutout

Haven’t skated a ramp in a while and now I want to do a proper slapped sweeper

Crob looks like he’s in the depths of a weed Induced panic attack and is trying to hold it down at the weekly team round up without his line manager and colleagues noticing

Where does Chris Roberts buy his hoodies? I’ve never seen a hoody anywhere with such short arms, thin material and floppy hood.

Sometimes I think thrasher taking the piss out of bufoni is harsh but it’s hard not to agree. She’s nowhere compared to the new wave.

That was great.

Nice to hear Digable Planets in that first section

Weird this is titled ‘Element presents…’ when it’s edited by Torsten Frank and features all adidas guest skaters.

Great part though and great style.

Not sure that is ‘weird’. It’s just to let you know who paid Torsten and the filmers…
