Yeah I got the insoles too - they’ve basically fixed it but I need to be careful which shoes I wear still.
You’re a teacher Frank, right?
Apparently it’s mad common for teachers as you’re always stood up.

My custom insoles are made to fit Vans so I have to stick to that. It’s been like that for 4 or 5 years now.
I’m a social worker in a day care center for seniors with cognitive impairment. I’m in charge of the thing which means I do spend time in the office doing paperwork but I’d say I’m stood up and moving 70-80% of the time I spend there.
I think my feet problems have more to do with decades of skateboarding and I suppose being a big guy didn’t help.
[/wading in with unwanted suggestion]
i walk and stand a lot.
mid 2010s, work and skating were becoming really painful. rigid achillies, arthritic toe joints, ankles sounding like wet rice crispies.
saw a handful of physio/ foot specialists, got orthotics, physio etc
the specialists all said my legs were extremely tight.
not like Lavar in 20 Shot.
bad tight.
if legs are tight, then feet have to over-compensate.
eventually mine told me to fuck off.
stretching has helped so so much.
boring, but being able to walk = win
Here we go, this is more like it Isle
Really nicely put together but a distinct lack of effort by some riders (not Chris Jones). Kyron’s footage was clearly offcuts from the recent Nike vid.
At least Isle isn’t done.
Oh my, what a video… I’m so hyped on the brand.
I’m gonna go buy something from them to support them…
cue modem noises
Stoked on Isle coming back with something strong, felt just like the old stuff
It’s cool now that basically everyone has the same HD camera and filming styles with it are a little more homogenous that you can pull together a cohesive edit like that with a variety of contributing filmers. Could never happen in the SD days
Forgot Mike Arnold rides for Isle.
They are trying to create some excitement around the brand and shift some product though.
One of Mike Arnold’s clips was a flatland trick!
I did not know that. I’ll read the room and not critique this one any further.
Yeah, but there’s a lot of goodwill towards Isle on here. Not least from me - I have bought a fair few Isle boards in the past and have huge admiration for Shier and Jensen. Maybe you are right and I should let some things be.
It is good to see them doing things again.
Kudos to Isle for this. I’ve often felt that so much of what the company was/is came down to Jake and his work on Vase to the point where it could easily overshadow whatever followed.
Seeing someone else, kinda, “have a go” at Isle visually and pulling it off well made me think of how the different Alien Workshop videos have been made by various filmers whilst still feeling like an Alien Workshop production.
Gonna binge some Chris Jones this week.
*gets ready to click the Isle edit, hoping for some SOTY footage
Hehehe… it’s a rad edit to be fair, really liked it.
Enjoyed that, the music was boring, Chris Jones was amazing, made it 90% of the way through before skipping which puts it in my top 1% of edits. Lets hope it has people coming into skate shops asking for Isle decks
haha mate it’s under 4 mins long
I made it through most of it but after Kyron time seemed to start stretching out in front of me and I had to skip. My brain is mush.
Absolutely stoked Isle’s back. Can’t wait to watch this later. Where’s JEH though?
Complete conjecture as I don’t have a clue about the inner workings of it all but I assume after planning to start a new board brand with pretty much the entire isle team, Nick and Paul are happy to start a new chapter with another videographer
