If I’m feeling like I should go for a skate but I’m kind of not into it, (which happens more often than it should these days), I’ll watch Mike Daher’s part from ‘A Visual Sound’. It usually does the trick of getting me off my arse for a no pressure cruise about and I end up getting into it and enjoying myself.
I was watching the Butter/ Blue Note video this morning for the second time and my wife walked in, ‘Oh, The Stereo Video’, she says, ‘I thought you were surfing today. You changed your mind, going skating instead?’
If a middle aged woman who doesn’t even skate can spot it, I’d call it more than just a nod I’d also say it’s specifically just ‘A Visual Sound’ over anything else.
Heath clips were amazing but there was something irritating about this video that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Like a little too slick and cocksure in the edit?
I don’t know if I invented this or if it’s real but I’m sure I heard Mike Daher was a weed farmer post skating. No idea if that’s true but yeah, I agree.
