I thought there were a few flashes of thoughtful tech (see: ‘intelligent drum and bass’); switch tail 180 to switch front crook / switch flip alley oop front blunt.
Overall though, his desire to just do stinking tech is just too strong- nollie flip crook frontside nollie big heel
I actually went back and watched the part again to see if I could screen grab some emotion but there really isn’t any.
Still amazing skating.
IMO the fact he skates fast, didn’t do a single tic-tac and has a tendency to tweak a lot of his tricks in a very pleasing way (see that switch heel) offsets his worse tech sins.
If anything it’s his graphic wolf T-shirts and too obvious hat/shoe matching that he should take some heat for.

Everyone will hate on someone for self props but when they are just getting down to business no one likes it either. It’s his job, do you have a perma grin on your face when you do yours?

I’ve just watched the Shane Goes 2 part again and the skateboarding is futuristic even by today’s standards. Whether it’s the best future is another matter.
Bs 180 nosegrind switch frontside flip out was beautiful - like peak Madrid Jesus Fernandes.
P.S. re above - Thailand is the new ledge Mecca too it seems.
