Lolz - yeah I had the same experience. What in the Craig Questions was that first going doing in a Zero video?

Zero vid, what was that? First dude, just chuck on a really heavy punk song and that will hopefully cover up a multitude of sins, it didn’t.
Beck song picked straight off a ‘Now That’s What I call 90s Indie’ album.
While they all wear Misled Youth tees and hats like a slap in the face reminder of when they used to make good vids.

Gave in and watched the zero vid. Wow, you guys are harsh! I’m not into Dern’s style but he’s doing the gnarliest stuff of his life, up there with Foy and the big rail chompers. Some crazy stuff in there. Feels kinda weird championing him though, maybe the Youtube stigma is strong.
But I kinda agree. Other dudes should be on a bro’s scene video and Dern should have his own standalone zero part.

Same. The first two guys are clearly not at Zero level, whatever that is, and I’m surprised Jamie gave them such prominence. Very Last Resort flow/Heroin pro.

Can’t argue with Kanaan though, I had no idea he was that good. Miles ahead of everyone else.

Somewhat loosely related to what you’re saying is this interview/profile with Chris Joslin where he’s talking about his own mindset of skating contests vs filming, largely as one is way more financially viable than the other. He makes a good point at the end how nobody will ever rewatch Street League, but legendary skate videos still get repeat viewings.

There’s something about energy drinks edits that generally remove all the soul and meaning out of them as a skate video/part.

Saying that, he fully comes out of that fs blunt around head height, it’s madness.

Thanks, I’m gonna check this out next week.

Felt like I should of enjoyed this more… Not sure if the song and editing made it seem a little boring?! A lot less cosplay though and some bonkers clips. Still Foy for SOTY imo, regardless of how many SF spots Berle destroys!

With Thrasher putting out stuff like this I think Berle SOTY has been confirmed already.

The ender in his new section was pretty badass.
He’s still Eli Berle though.

This was his best part this year. Clearly had saved his best clips for it.

Doing the Scott Johnson grind, but longer, at Jkwon felt a little bit unimaginative. There also seemed to be a nod to AVE in Propeller with the line with the switch bigspin over the gap.

Ender felt suitable gnarly though.

Berle ender was amazing
BUT
I feel like if someone was to do the nyjah up and down grind it kind of needs to be non kicker to ‘do it legit’ where heel nyjah built a semi disguised kicker.
Instead Berle has also used a kicker and if anything feels even more contrived than nyjah’s because he’s propped it with a board like it’s a drain (which would gain some sort of street points, and considered fair game) but instead it’s just wood with a metal lip.

I could word this less clumsily but it’s Berle so fuck it

Should have switch hill bombed out of the last trick. 3/10.

Holy shot that was absolutely psycho.

That massive nose blunt near the end was a big wtf from me.

Also the fakie inward heel manual on the picnic table came out of nowhere!

Penultimate ender (another big 5050 - shock!) with the kicker was dumb.

Ender was fucked.

You’ve got to be giving it some to skate to Metallica.

Fakie inward heel fakie mannny was so good and so out of place. really rad

Good skateboarding but does nothing for me personally.

Song was shit

Normally fussed on Elijah but that was great.

Wash your mouth out - it’s an all time classic Metallica song!
