Enjoyed this. For a second I thought that rail he 5.0’d at the end was the same one Jamie Thomas 50’d at the end of his Welcome to Hell part.
Dashawn’s own song in his part might be one of the worst tunes I’ve ever heard in a skate video. Like it’s truly horrible.

The false positivity running through it is nauseating. Really surprised Nike agreed to let him use it. It stinks! But I guess it saves on paying for the rights to a proper song.

The juxtaposition of the kind of skating he’s doing and the PG-13 pop rap was very distracting

I feel like we need some perspective on this part. Personally, I didn’t mind the song, in a sort of early Kanye soul beat rip off type of way. Either way, there are parts put out daily with worse songs than this, think about some of that trap shit that people skate to - and those songs are made by people who make music for a living. This guy not only put a banging part together, but he also created his own music to go with it which, even if you think the song is trash, is still a big accomplishment. If I had to put a part together and create the music to go with it, it would be horrendous. I’ve got to give respect to this guy for what he’s done. Don’t think many pros could come close to this on either the skating or the music making front.

I played the part at school today and all three kids who skate disagreed “Nah man Ben, this track is cool” so we’re all probably out-of-touch old c. unts.

I mean I liked the skating. He’s dope as fuck. He makes laser flips look good which in itself is miracle work.
However, I just really hated that song haha.

That Burbank one is tonks beef, tbf.
The song was just…odd. But I did realise after that I’d totally filtered it out by the second half.
My brain has evolved to clearly just put up with this shit now. haha
