My next midlife purchase will be a drill and impact driver set.

Got an old set up you could use as a skate instead of the castors ?
Absolutely loving the dedication and will be 100 times more satisfying than buying one
It grinds. It slides. It weighs a fucking ton.
Didn’t think this day would ever come. Thank you forum. Feel like you got me here.
Siiiiiiick I wanna skate it bring it to dadlands!!
Fuck yes. THATS what it’s about
Yes les! Great feeling making it and skating it .
Absolutely worth it all .
Good work Les!
Cheers! It’s super fun.
I only gave it a bit of wax but it’s like having a layer of sheet ice on top. I guess i just need to keep breaking it in.
It’s like curb high so is a super fun height.
Should be ideal for trick of the month.
Self challenges for me are:
Somewhat achievable:
Backside nosegrind reverts
Regular crooks
Backtails
Nollie noseslides
Vaguely possible:
Nollie crooks
Front blunts
Backlips
Never going to happen:
Front crooks
Fakie 5-0s
Full length noseblunts
Tre flip lips
Nosegrind nollie flip out
Any slide to flip out
These
are gonna be hard because
Any trick where you have to ollie into a nosemanual, nosegrind, crooks or anything with all your weight on your nose is harder on a really low obstacle as you’re most likely to lose your balance when you land and go for the grind/slide/manual.
This said, backside nosegrind reverts are probably easier than you think.
First do a few backside 5050s backside nollie out (absolutely illegal, I know, but it’ll help getting comfortable with the backside revert) then start with quick bouncy backside nosegrind reverts at the end of your grind box/ledge/whatever. Ollie into the nosegrind and remember your shoulders should already be going for the backside revert as you’re landing on the obstacle, then your hips, your legs and your board will follow. Does this make sense?
That was great advice, everything 100% bang on
Come on @Les_Zeppelin let’s see it
I skate low stuff often and it’s so different I’d argue it’s a different trick. Low nose grinds require me to lean back and go really shallow (back foot barely up at all) to balance it. Higher nose grinds don’t disaster like that and you can really lean on the front I find
Yeah, absolutely.
I love doing nosewheelies on really low pads, going as slowly as I can, it’s far more challenging than a regular nosewheelie but really fun!
Man now you’re singing my song
I’m amazed at the quick feet that dudes who do nose manual tricks of any kind on curb height stuff. It’s properly alien to me, never been able to do it. Proper board control instead of hucking it like an oaf (me!)
anyone able to recommend a good guide to creteing jersey barriers?
Rob and OG did the ones in Digbeth near Ideal recently. You asked them?
Tom from Bournbrook would defo be able to give some pointers.

Used this site to build my grind box. Got a section on jersey barriers
Missus wants me to paint a bunch of furniture because of some reels she watched on IG. I’m generally pretty decent with house DIY bits so I’m happy to try but know nothing about airless spray guns
Anyone got any experience with them? Can rent one for a day for about £70 or buy mid-tier ones new from £200ish
I’d be putting up a load of paint covers, masking stuff off etc and then spray gunning the whole lot
Does it need base coats?
