I always read that word as “art is anal.”

The idea that these guys are going to plant two trees for every pair of shoes they sell is laughable:

This brand is built on influencers and bogus social media promises.

Also Sole Tech did that years ago. And probably still do it.

So weird this brand. It’s like they looked at the Etnies ‘Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree’ thing and just decided to one up it.

Very odd.

It’s Brazillian fronted by the investment to make it happen comes from Singapore, right? I did some digging when it first appeared.

It’s all very odd.

…also, that logo is horrible and the size of it on each shoe really is a bit grim.

I assumed it was one of those berrics brands as they seem to carpet-bomb insta posts about them all the time.

Yeah, Patagonia really do smash it.

The Black Friday profits thing a couple of years back was outstanding.

I didn’t know that. Thats gold.

Same with anything, the ones shouting about it are usually compensating.

“I’m really funny… I’m super popular… We’re soooo ethical”

It means more if it comes from other people

It’s a very easy thing to say now to appeal to people.

:+1:t2: For banner ads and acknowledging that this place exists.

Agree there. First thing I thought when my copy arrived, before I’d taken it out the shrink wrap, was “This has got a good weight to it.”

Then seeing all the photos in amazing res, on glossy paper… Just banging overall.

That National ad of Vic’s flip back tail looks sick blown up to that size too.

Mine is waiting for me when I get home, something to look forward to

Yeah, there’s angle of accessibility which I think is warranted because there’s a gap for that it in a publication – and it’s not off putting even if you’ve skated for however long.

Not got my copy to hand at present but was there a Nike/Adidas/Cons ad? Don’t recall one

I got a nice big burst of nostalgia from the smell of it weirdly enough.

What about trick tips for older gentlemen?

I didn’t want to seem odd and mention that. But yeah, smells so good.
