When he went that far ahead in the first session I knew it would be like this. It would have been better for Ron if Higgins had gone 5 up at first. My silver lining is him breaking Hendry’s record is going to keep him playing each year. He’s playing in the seniors next week for the first time which will be entertaining. I think he will retire when he has won the 8th. He kinda said that to me, in the pub in Soho 15 years ago.

I had to leave what turned out to be quite early on in that frame to take my son to football training. Missed all the fun!
I would’ve thought the frame where Mark needed a snooker and ground out a win against all odds would be the highlight.
