The Trouser Thread

Thanks man, I had 4 or 5 pairs of Solvers, now have 2 pairs of Levi’s 514 but I’m looking for something a tad baggier. Not baggy per se, just a tiny bit wider.
I got used to skating in those comfy climbing pants (or whatever people call them) Vans make, got used to having more leg room and can’t skate in my jeans anymore. :face_in_clouds:

Damn. Limpies had the best ads. Natas shorts too.

Bought some Uniqlo baggy jeans. Thought it might be a gamble with the high tide bottoms and not visiting the fitting room due to shopping with child in tow and a queue going nowhere fast. Went XL 38” waist and thankfully it paid off and matched what I wanted, with visions of me back in 1995 trying to re-enact the menace section in 20 Shot Sequence.

Now I just need the Joey Suriel belt.

Went to a little military shop here in Tallinn as I’d blown the seat out of my old Rothco BDU cargos. They lasted really well, I got some digital camo ones at the same time that are still going.

Went with Helicon-Tex BDU (“battle dress uniform”) in khaki. As far as I know it’s used by military so mass produced and decent fit/quality. And they’re pretty good! Only 35EUR.

As you can see from the above I can now become invisible. Will put fit pics/sizing info up in a bit.

I’ve got those in four or five different camos. Absolutely love them. Size-wise, I go up a full size. They’re obviously made small, because there’s no way I’ve got fat from sitting around on Zoom drinking cans for the last four years.

Yeah it said small would be 30-32" which is me bang on but I had to go to medium, there is no way a small would’ve fit.

Immense news that we both wear the same trousers

Been drooling over these. That Swedish camo is so sick

That Swedish camo is pretty sick for sure!

I recently got 2 pairs of camo cargo shorts, 2 camo patterns I never had before, flecktarn and tactical camo as it’s apparently called, some kinda beige Woodlandesque stuff with green and yellowish spots. So ill, love them.

I know fuck all about this brand but I got 3 of those 2 (or 3?) summers ago and they last so well. The colours faded a bit but I wore them loads and they are solid as fuck.
They are 36 quid a pair through Zalando but I got my 2 pairs for 54 euros P&P included from this place in Deutschland: Brandit US BDU RipStop Shorts | BW-Shop

We’ve all got the Maharishi book, and it’s excellent (very thorough, and the bits that come with it are lovely) but I was shocked at how good this is, considering it’s sitting at a few quid. I guess the cover probably put off 95% of potential purchasers.

Whoaàh camouflage…

What a mental song, or mental it did as well as it did

That song was haunting as a kid, and that video is absolute dogshit. I imagined a Vietnam film-level promo for that. How disappointing.

There’s no way they expected it to do anything. “Stick him in studio 3 with a smoke machine, that’ll do”

My lad wears camo a lot, he’s just into it. We’d look batshit together if I rocked camo too….Then again, would anyone be able to see us?

AFAIK, somebody on here wrote about finding old home video of himself singing this tune at a family karaoke.

Definitely expected more of a Full Metal Jacket type treatment for this music video, or at least some trucks, heavy machinery and military vehicles. The label definitely weren’t spending on this one hit wonder.

Nice, I’ve ordered that. Only 2 quid delivery to Estonia as well

Hope you like it. I’ve got a lot of books about camouflage/DPM and I reckon this is the most underrated.
