I like cotton traders elasticated waist shorts. They’re loose and indestructible, cost about £20

And again, shorts > trousers :kissing_heart:

Hahaha I totally run cuffed jeans like this. Not to skate in though

Cuffed jeans seem very Primark / Burtons. Makes me nervous just to hear they’re out in the world.

Unnecessary horizontal seams. Disgusting.

shorts from april to mid october, trousers the rest

I wore trousers for the first time in months yesterday. Felt like I was in leg prison.

I bought a pair of Dickies shorts as they were on sale. Never worn Dickies before.

Are they supposed to be so rigid? They’re like plastic shorts. Not an exaggeration, they stand up on their own.

I guess that’s what 65% polyester gets you. There’s no way I’d pay full price for these things

They soften up. Eventually

After 3000 lunges.

i’ve had a pair of dickies ‘skate’ shorts since about 2015 and they’re still terrible

Been wearing a similar pair pretty much every day since lockdown. My ever growing gut is thankful for the elasticated waistband.

Get shorts with some elastene or stretchy material in there. Most of the bigger skate/surf brands do them and they make the biggest difference when you’re going from army surplus cargo shorts or Dickies “workwear” shorts as you can move a lot more comfortably. Function over fashion!

I got some lululemon (sup Neen!) shorts that are 14% elastene and 86% recycled polyester. They are great. Springy.
