Ha, I like that. He’s in the realms of Mr Biffo coolness to me. Tenuous link in there.
Me too. And apparently that’s considered the weakest of the series in various forums.
Bodes well for the rest…
I have no idea no idea in what order I’m supposed to watch them in.
Joan is awful.
My god
I found out recently that Charlie Brooker’s first job was working on Oink! Comic which I read as a kid!
Just watched episode one. Thought it was quite weak.
Worked on PC Gamer too!
Damn haven’t watched it yet but didn’t enjoy any of the previous ones other than first series (edit: think I was confused I liked the first maybe three series, they’ve all become one series in my head).
I read a lot of comics and most of the plot lines were nicked from stories I’d already heard.
Random one…but I worked with him for 4 years in the 90s.
Episode 2 of BM was very good.
The Internet in general seems to agree with you. I didn’t think it was that exciting, much preferred the weirdness of the first one
second one could’ve done with some graphic visceral gore imo
I still have no idea what the order is, but I’m properly off the wagon and have been for a while.
Gonna watch another tonight, just pick the most appealing at random.
I really enjoyed the more non-technology episodes like ep 2 and 5. Ep 3 was also very good and ep 4 was fairly enjoyable but I couldn’t get down with ep 1. Solid 5 part series overall. Better than the last one for sure.
Well, that’s good. I thought the first was solid and funny. Just finished the second and yeah, more into that. But I did like the first.
The third wasn’t bad by any means but I thought it was a bit weaker than the first two. Episode one was the best Black Mirror episode for a long time I thought.
Agree with all of this. The acting in three was amazing, concept was great but just a little dry
Thought 1 was the smartest, 2 was the best, 3 the most tense, 4 the worst, 5 the funniest.
The bit that annoyed me about episode 1 was when they said ”This is a quantum computer. We barely know how it works. It’s basically magic”. You can pretty much write whatever you want and explain it as “magic”.
tbf though it’s not like deus ex machina where the issue is solved by “magic” or some inexplicable piece of technology (see doctor who)
black mirror is filled with impossible technology that is never explained
Yeah I guess you’re right. However, the difference with that one is that compared to other episodes where technology is invented and developed in the future, this was a computer that they didn’t really understand or have control of. I’m thinking too much into it because I didn’t enjoy the episode that much haha.
I liked episode 2 a lot but in some ways it felt more like an Inside No. 9 than Black Mirror.
