The TV Thread

Watched the latest Mortimer & Whitehouse (Christmas) episode last night and it made me seek out this gem from earlier in the series.

One of my favourite things on telly.

Agreed. It was the best thing on over Christmas by a billion miles.

The best thing about it is it’s sort of indescribable what it actually is. Loved every single thing about it.

Finally got round to watching The Penguin .
Fuck me that was so good and so many ways .
Collin Farrell was incredible , such a well played fucked up character. But that goes for most of actors, very well done .
Storylines were back and forth in such a good way especially the ending .

They could run a couple more seasons easily but glad they’re gonna save it for the films .
Can’t wait to see what the do and especially for Collin Farrells acting

This was good.

Especially liked the bit on Van Goghs Crows In The Wheatfield.

Traitors is like a 9.2/10 instead of a straight up 10 so far, although it is only 2 episodes in.

Bad traitor picks I think. Still the best show on tv though.

I’d agree with that. The opera lady looks like being an awful traitor…

Really enjoying Night Sky at the mo

Just managed to negotiate sky entertainment and apple tv out of my phone provider, whats good on there?

We just finished bad sisters, I think that was on apple, pretty good.

I may be misremembering, I think it was slow horses we watched there now that everyone else has mentioned it.

Apple TV - Severance, Slow Horses

For all Mankind, Blackbird, Silo, Bad Monkey, Slow Horses all great on AppleTV.

For All Mankind is one of my favourite programmes in recent memory but as with most AppleTV shows, hardly anyone has seen it

For all mankind - amazing tv. I started the first episode a few times before it grabbed me, then no looking back.

And Slow Horses - worth reading the books too…

Yeah I found the same tbh. First 3 or so episodes I was on the fence about it, but decided to stick with it, then it just found it’s groove and I was hooked. S2/3 were exceptional, s4 I thought was a bit up and down, but looking forward to s5.

The Crowded Room on Apple TV

Has anyone mentioned Penguin yet?

Soooo good.

Farrell is channelling heavy Tony Soprano meets De Niro’s Capone with a sprinkling of the guy who played RZA in the Wu saga thing…
