The TV Thread

After reading even the most vague opinions on here and seeing a clip of those Tiger cunts, I have no intention of watching, let alone a glorified movie about it all. Sound like the worst cunts ever, but I guess for a long time now that’s who people are used to watching and looking up to. TV is at it’s best and worst right now.

A fictional miniseries about a documentary series? They really have run out of ideas. Utterly pointless.

He truly is a horrible cunt. Deserves to be in prison. So do the other breeders.

True. But Nicky Cage tho. The finest casting ever done there.

Apparently Steve Buscemi is Howard Baskin too. Haha.

Not her thing but I could see Jennifer Saunders as Carol

Louis Theroux was there first, years ago. Ha. Good old Louis.

I’ve just started the After Life and the Last Dance, both really good. The latter is just such a 90s nostalgia-fest, it’s crazy how much bigger the sport seemed at MJ’s peak as well! I know it is a lot more international now but it just doesn’t have impact it used to. There were so many more characters in the sport back then which I suppose helped a lot.

Lisa Cudrow would be perfect

That must’ve been a magical time to live in that area! I just watched it all from afar via that Channel 4 ‘24/7’ show back then. I agree with you on MJ and his words on the Harvey Gantt matter really struck a chord with me, especially now with so many celebs making political statements.

Interviewer to MJ - “Do you have a gambling problem?”

MJ - “I have a competition problem”

Might use that one

I think MJ’s dad was murdered over gambling debts.

Just rumours and gossip about the gambling and the mob.

Did you watch Uncut Gems?

Just as it’s about gambling and basketball.

It’s fucking mental.

The '92 dream team stuff was pretty epic as well, what a team; MJ, Magic, Bird, Barkley :fire:

I binged the entire series of Into The Night last night.
New Netflix series.
Belgian, 40 mins, 6 eps.

Really good. Each episode flies along.
Hoping for a second season.

Can’t say I enjoyed uncut gems, but I liked it. It’s a bit nervy and on edge and I don’t like that in real life but an hour or so knowing it’s going to end is ok. Pretty underwhelmed by OPN sountrack too but I guess it worked, could have been more intense I felt knowing he did the music beforehand, he could have got gnarlier.

Stoked to watch this!

Anyone seen Devs on iPlayer?

Anyone watching panorama on BBC 1 right now?

Fuck it’s grim , the numbers of people 1 funeral directors have to deal with and buying in 40 ft fridge containers for them.

They need to show this after the 6pm news not at 11pm

Hey!
Thank goodness for Hard Brexit preparations, we bought more fridges than anybody over the last year or two.

Charlie Brooker’s Antiviral Wipe tonight (his first one since 2016?). I have a feeling I’ll laugh till I cry, not in a good way. Just his comedic dead pan review on how depressively shit it’s all been.

Looking forward to it, ha.
