Watching season 4 of The Sinner.

It’s off to a good start, I like the place it’s set.

Decided to give it a shot and I was waiting for this so called ‘acid trip’ you speak of.
Then halfway through episode 2 I was like ahh, there ya go.

Not sure about it. The general consensus of the show is Tommy is a fucking idiot who shits on the people working for him and they were justified in stealing the tape etc.
I’m not his biographer, or even that interested, but from the book the dirt and the interviews I’ve seen he always comes across as alright.
Never worked for him mind.

Remember when Pam was the most famous woman on earth? Interesting times.

Oh wait, I thought both of them didn’t give their consent for this to be made. Turns out just Pam and Tommy actually helped out with the story etc.
Fuck it, god knows what I think then.

Im pretty sure she didnt have anything to do with it from what i read

Ya, but Tommy did.

Just reread what you put. Sorry, yeah apparently he spoke to SevastianStan about it but Pam had nothing to do with any of it

New Aziz Ansari standup show on Netflix is good - there’s one particularly funny joke about Ice Cube that stands out

Anyone watched The Tinder Swindler?
Absolutely mad!

Yeah, couldn’t believe it.

Just watched it. Was great.

But didn’t like he got away with it at the end.
Also the super rich don’t go on tinder, they go on raya.

Anyone watched the new Reacher on Amazon Prime? I love the books and this is a great adaptation.

Yeah, really enjoying it so far, much closer to the books. Hes miles ahead of Tom Cruise.

Reacher is meant to be huge. I’m a shortarse and I’m an inch taller than Tom Cruise

Unpopular opinion, but I thought the first Reacher film, and Cruise, was quite good

I liked the second one too.
Never read the books so didn’t realise he was supposed to be some Muscle Mary.

I’ve read about 10 or so of the books and the guy in that terrible romcom-looking thumbnail is not what I pictured him looking like - even though the author clearly describes him.

I think Cruise nailed the character, it’s just we all know he’s a shortarse irl

The books are great. They’re really unusual in being both a page-turning read and popular with other big-name writers. There was even an academic who followed Lee Child when he was writing Make Me, and wrote a book about it, called Reacher Said Nothing.

How many books are there?

27 i think. The whole point of the character is he is physically huge, 6’5” 250 lbs unit who takes no bullshit which leads him into these scenarios. Cruise playing him was ridiculous, just play a different character. Same logic behind casting a black James Bond, the character is completely defined.
