Unfortunately the up and down crook I’d planned kept falling into noseslide prior to rolling away so you can have this instead

Both clips are awesome!
Tonight is the night. I hope
Ollie, smack it in hard on your heelside with a fraction of the weight on the front side of your foot, hold it, balance, ride it out, then hop back off your front foot with a bit of a forwards push to level things out…land, and ride away clean.
Heh! Thanks! I’m too heavy toeside (bs crook) so after a short grind I’m either sticking of flopping into nose slide
Also watched Ben Degros’ trick tip but his Adidas trackie pants were very off putting. Tom Astas were good haha
DENIED
Filmed this one the other day.
Nice!
Just can’t get these at the moment and not sure if I’m going to get out again before Monday
I tried my best tonight but no joy. Gonna keep trying though because they feel rad when locked and grinding.
Can’t get over being too toe heavy.
Try and keep your back as parallel to the ledge as you can. This helps to keep your weight over the heel. It does for me at least.
Ahh, thanks, looking at attempts I’m shoulders open and forward facing . I’ve really been shook at how much I’ve battled this. Enjoyable but frustration did creep in a few times. I will prevail damnit
Need to be way straighter than this for it to work!
It’s a pointer grind get it pointed
I reckon that’ll come if I keep my shoulders closed hence turning in less…
Go more for like a backside grind (like a back nosegrind or back fifty) where you’re getting on top of the ledge. You’re very noseslidey
You can totally do them like you are doing them, you just have to sit on that heel wheel hard.
A crook feels just like a noseslide done that way, you only need to point it forwards to pop out.
Alternatively you can drop back into a noseslide…and then back to crook
Yeah, I’ve always done them with a fairly hard angle since back in the day. End up with a specific wear pattern on the leading edge of the nose.
Might even be asking to much from myself, not actually landed one for a couple of years now
Get it done Mike
