Russia has demanded Ukraine surrenders Mariupol by March 21st… so by Midnight tonight. They haven’t done this before? Asked for a formal declaration of intended surrender or else, right? Sounds very ominous, like they are going to raze the city to the ground. While I don’t think they’d be stupid enough to use nukes, with their own soldiers being so close, it sounds like they are going to use something heavy in the early hours.
They’ve already ignored the surrender deadline.

Russia ground Grozny and Aleppo into the ground. Although the overall competence of their army is comparitively lacking, Russia does have millions more teenagers to conscript into the war meatgrinder to win the war through slow, costly attrition to wear out Ukrainian forces through sheer strength of numbers. I truly hope this will not be the case.

Just to be clear, I live in Estonia and the Russian government are now suggesting that this country (along with those other ex-Soviet states) should be one of the next that should be ‘de-nazified’.
This was also threatened on the most popular propaganda/evening talk show a couple of days ago.

Unless the Russian military are pretending to be shit in possibly the greatest military ruse of all time, there’s no way they could fight on multiple fronts or against NATO. They barely seem like they could properly defend Russia itself right now
They’re turning up in the Ukraine with legit WW2 machine guns, it’s actually quite pathetic (again, unless it’s a masterstroke)

Apparently the reason for the piss poor Russian morale is that the majority of the army is just normal guys who have been conscripted and thrown into Ukraine
Apparently there’s forced conscription and the historic russian strategy of using first waves of soldiers as cannon fodder, and they are usually conscripts. There’s also an insane culture of extreme hazing, it’s mad they are just kids born in the 2000s

One of the first things the Russians did was destroy as much 4G and 5G networks in Ukraine, which was pretty dumb, considering their encrypted comms channels work on those same bands. They had to step down to 3G bands for their comms, which meant they were on open channels and easy to hack.
This little turd looks like he’s just finished school and would be one of the first kids sent to the front line to die for Mother Russia’s vainglory. Not a fucking chance he’d be able to punch his way out of a wet paper bag.

I think It’ll more likely affect our prices rather than supply in the UK. We get most of ours from the Scandi countries I thought.
That’s not good either though haha, the prices are mad anyway.
Bit of a fucker for Europe though, hopefully he’s playing chicken though because if Russia were to actually stop supplying the gas then they’d lose a huge amount of revenue as well.
Some countries are going to be more fucked than others for sure but get used to Boris fracking your back garden sooner or later.

Gas and Leccy have just gone up over 2x what they were: Feeling that one, especially on top of fuel for car. Hundreds worse off per month since January. I expect most people are in the same boat and many will really begin to struggle.
A good kick in the budget but given what else is going out there I’m (trying to be) hesitant to moan about it.
Oh 100%. I was more meaning it’ll deffo mean our prices will rise rather than us run out of gas/leccy.
The estimate I had for our gas/leccy for the coming year was insane.
Not looking forward to Oct when they go up again…
