Ukraine and Russia

Yeah but tbf they were never going to be a immediate solution were they? Sanctions are a slow squeeze like a blockade or a siege. You’re making the position difficult to maintain so that eventually they back out of it

Well if they were never going to be a solution then why bother? I’m not even necessarily disagreeing with you though, it’s not like I’d have wanted a military response.

What a nightmare. Don’t really know what to say. Some real nasty rhetoric around ‘denazification’ and what seem to be clear threats to the west.

They’re saying they’re supposed to be punitive, which I guess implies that bad stuff has already happened.

I don’t know if that sort of language was being used yesterday though.

Jeez there’s a lot of NSFL stuff on twitter already. World is about to see some shit.

NSFL? You got any links?

Not gonna share any here, but it’s not hard to find if you must see it.

This war will be fully documented. It’s gonna be gnarly.

Yeah reddit is getting pretty raw. Completely unfiltered video, pics and description of what’s going on

Can you send me a link I’m shit at reddit

There will be loads of disinformation and fake footage coming out as well. That’s how it is these days. Be mindful of that when seeing this stuff.

Hence why I said send me a link, and your point was already made.

Along these lines:

BBC World Service just had an ‘interview’ with a Russian MP. The absolute nonsensical bollocks he was spouting was ridiculous. Things like the Ukrainian government were not democratically elected, the West/EU have been using them as an aggressive force for the past decade or so, Pres. Zelensky is a neo Nazi, the war is the fault of the West, the Ukrainian people are happy with the situation and are welcoming the Russian military with open arms and flowers… it went on and on. All of it a crock of shit.

He was followed by an ex U.S. Ambassador who now is part of the establishment at Stanford University. He countered all of the claims made, but also made a very valid point - should the BBC be broadcasting Russian propaganda to the world? Would the BBC have broadcast Nazi propaganda on the invasion of Poland, Sept 1st 1939?

The way it came across on the radio was , here’s one view and now here’s another. Not, here’s a dangerous, twisted narrative consisting of nothing but lies and now here’s the truth.

I’m not sure that we should be allowing our media to be used directly as a mouthpiece for the Russian fictional narrative.

On that note I see that RT ( on Sky TV) is still spouting their take on the invasion. Mind you, one knows what to expect from RT, the BBC is a different kettle of fish though.

Not hating, but why are you so eager to see this stuff? Loads of the older blokes at work always send the most heinous gore videos out on messenger and stuff like that. Violence, sexual violence, car accidents and close-ups of the aftermath, deaths; nothing seems off limits and it weirds me out. If I see anything like that it ruins my day.

I just want to see whats happening there.

Sexual violence? Where the fuck do you work.

I saw that bloke earlier. I was just sat there thinking what the fuck is this guy on about.

You know what I mean, sexual exploits that borderline violence, self mutilation. I’m not pretending it’s normal, just saying it’s a phenomenon I don’t understand, and it links in with the want that people have to see generally NSFL content.

No I don’t.

Reminds me of those ‘simply loveleh’ vids doing the rounds a few years ago. Be seeing you…
