But you can do that without gore/death videos, right?
Not judging. Just wondering why you’d want to see that much detail/something horrific rather than just perhaps an overview of the situation and images of a building with smoke coming out of it (or something)?
I’m with @Jurwell - I can’t bear those forwarded videos. I’m in one group chat where ‘risky content’ happens and I’ve put across to the others to keep it light and funny. And they do.
If they want to share death, then fine. But not in front of me.
All I saw was you asking for links after finding out Reddit was full of NSFW stuff.
I can’t see a post with you pointing out that you didn’t actually ask for that. I think that is why a few of us asking about that grim shit, as it seemed to come across as that was what you’d asked for links to.
Ha! That explains it. It means “Not Safe For Life”.
Kinda like a very extreme Not Suitable For Work.
So, you can see how asking led a few of us to go “WTF?”
Sanctioning the oligarchs won’t do anything as Putin happily profits from them, but doesn’t listen to them. Need to hit the duma hard. Then Putin won’t hear the end of it.
Do you think he gives a single fuck about anything at this point? I’m honestly not sure. I used to derive some comfort from the thought that for Putin coming off as an insane dickhead was strategic and he was actually just a dickhead but now I’m not so sure.
I watched this lecture by an American political theorist from 2015 which now looks quite prophetic. He was addressing the Crimea ‘crisis’ in 2014 and argued that Western foreign policy, for example, promoting NATO and EU expansion, had created the division in the Ukraine and Russian antagonism. It’s definitely a different perspective on events.
