Never got into those grid tactic games. Way too complicated for me but it looks like something I could get into. Need a switch first!

Final Fantasy Tactics (ps one/PSP) is brilliant.

Went to a trendy new pub last night with loads of arcade games, Alien vs Predator is fantastic and I didn’t even know it existed until yesterday.

Anyone got a good source of roms? My interest in the megadive has been reignited since that Olympics game.

Yeah. Vimms lair.

The emulator you want is Kega Fusion.

Edit: maybe not. Full screen doesn’t work on windows 10. I thought it was my shit laptop not working last night.

I’ve got an old raspberry pii with retro pie set up on it. Just need some more roms to make it fun again.

Start with the Winter Olympics then.

Had really good fun playing Pokémon Go with an American streamer last night.

@Les_Zeppelin I can’t handle that winter Olympics game. It’s so bad.

But the skiing events are so good. The others are impossible.

Any other Mega Drive/SNES games that we can beat each other on?

Bidding on a few Mega Drive 2s on eBay at the moment.

Do those emulators work on Mac.

Thanks for asking.

Thanks for answering.

Son & I have been wanting to find a decent source of DS Roms. Will check it out.

I have literally gazillions of ROMs for older consoles sat on a hard drive somewhere, that I play on a Raspberry Pi with Retropie. If there’s anything specific anyone wants let me know (it’ll take me about a month to upload the full 80gb or so!)

I don’t know about those ones. I have used Emulators on a mac before.

I have one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anbernic-Handheld-Console-OpenDingux-Classic/dp/B08T96NJTX/ref=asc_df_B08T96NJTX/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=534859716201&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=912388650200925284&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006948&hvtargid=pla-1411119523428&psc=1

Its fun for playing game boy games, but I’ve really got into playing zelda link to the past on the switch (snes game)

The DS has so many great games.

I can pull the ones off my R4 card tonight and send them to you.

Currently playing Hotel Dusk: Room 215 which is very ‘DS’. It’s like a mix of a mystery novel and a point and click puzzler.

I’ve banged on about it loads I think but seriously play Ghost Trick if you haven’t. I love it

Same goes for Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.

The Phoenix Wright games are mental, sometimes impossible but always enjoyable.

The DS had the best Castlevania games too.

Radiant Historia is a very nice RPG too.

Basically I love the DS.

It isn’t a tactical RPG game though probably looks like it from screen shots, basically the dungeon is a maze like grid layout. So you have a party of three and go through the dungeon floor by floor battling (battle systems basically “Active Time” with a few changes), getting exp, upgrading gear etc. very classic FF gameplay with some new twists.

Yeah I second this on Ghost Trick. It’s on iPhone App Store as a ‘free’ download but basically think it gives you the first chapter for free and then you buy the others so worth giving a shot and see what you reckon.

One of the best game ever in my opinion

Thanks for the offer Les, that’s very good of you - I’ll stick to hunting out the games we want rather than stock pile though.

Me (us) too.

I’ve been a fan since the OG GB and things just got better once flash carts / etc came along.

A soft modded 2DS running emulators for all the older games and sega master / mega still amazes me (it does more than that too but I’ve not looked into it).
