Good fun, makes me wish I had room for a steering wheel setup and a er, steering wheel setup.
Setting everything to the extreme side of things in the game has meant me crashing the car has led to being out of a few rallies haha.
It’s an awesome game but I’m so, so shit at it. I don’t think I’ve ever completed a stage on Finland or Poland in anything faster than the H2 FWDs. So exhilarating though.
I had a spin in a Mk2 Escort to see how hard the RWD motors are and yep, did struggle to be fair.

Dirt Rally 2.0 is banging. Group A cars are the sweet spot for me.
I restarted Cyberpunk 2077 again recently. I got it at launch but it was a bit of a mess so I stopped after maybe ten or fifteen hours. It’s on version 2.1 now though and also has a next gen upgrade. I was enjoying all the improvements and the lack of glitches and bugs but did about 25 hours before before realising that I was only playing the PS4 version.
Unsurprisingly the PS5 version looks way better, incredible in fact. Just walking round the city is amazing if you’re into that whole sort of thing. It’s just such a shame they couldn’t have got it to this state before it launched because it’s a masterpiece.
I got Pikmin 4 for Christmas. I’ve not played any of the previous ones but it’s great. Nice relaxing puzzle game.

My dad wanted to know what to get my son for Xmas. I said Hogwarts Legacy and Starfield for the X Box. Realised when he opened it that Starfield is rated 18 (he’s 11), hmmm … all good I guess, I can live with that, I’ll keep an eye on it.
Didn’t clock that both are on disc.
Just went to play Starfield only to realise that X Box S doesn’t have a disc option, download only. Fucked that right up. And I really, really want to play Starfield.
Also, both games on disc = £90 total. Both games digital, on x box store = £140. Robbing bastards.
Ok I put a bunch of hours in over the holidays, it’s sick.
Most annoying game I ever played, I’ve died about 9000 times. Then I learned that you have to learn to play it, you can’t just run into a fight and mash the buttons. Timing/blocking and varying your attacks etc. and be smart about levelling up and upgrading weapons… I’ve never been into RPGs so I didn’t get that at first.
It’s basically BOTW for adults, just a million times harder, with gore.
Been playing games with the missus over christmas, never really been a gamer at all apart from the Atari 2600, snes, master/mega drive. Bought a x box 360 for skate and that’s how it’s stayed. But bought loads of games from cex for the 360 for £2 each and a mini snes, been loads of fun drinking with Mario/sonic karts, sega rally, Fzero and mario world.

Honestly game pass is a good deal bordering on essential if you have an Xbox series S. Not the Harry potter game but starfield is on there and absolutely tons of other stuff.
Cheers. I will look into that again. Wasn’t sure how much use he’d get as he leans towards the Switch more, but the variety on there might make it worthwhile…

playing through BOTW and TOTK again last year, i conclude that while TOTK has “more game” than the original it is not better. BOTW has a better story and in general is a better game imo.
interested to see where they take the franchise next (ignoring talk of a movie).
Looks like Smyths won’t exchange/refund the Starfield as it had been opened. I’m going to stick it on Facebook Marketplace, anyone got any idea how much I could ask for it?
