Couldn’t see a “show off” thread, but a mixture of equipment addiction/curiosity/bored at work ponders the question….what are you currently riding and possibly enjoying?
I’m all about the 14 inch wheelbase. Quasi Dick Rizzo stepped up to 8.125 from an 8. Reynolds Spitfire soft sliders 52mm. Ace 44s. Bones swiss. Dadlands and Lost Art/ skateshop stickers. Maybe bolts. Jessup.
It’s in the garage but I’m on a Heroin Egg 8.75” twin that Neddy put me on to on here with Aces, 56mm Dragons and Swiss Six. No fancy grip job.
Girl G026 (Carroll graphic) 8.125, Indy 139 ti with blues and Ace pivots, 54mm F4 Classics with Swiss, Diamond bolts (I think). Next up is another G026 with Rick Howards name on it.
Edit:
Yer you know what’s up! Eggy Aces!
We need photos dammit
Might have to resurrect https://www.instagram.com/boardreviews
I have that same deck ready to skate next
I’ve still got one of the World Peace Machine boards on the go. 8.5 because I wanted to try something that size. It’s a bit big for me really; but feels so “secure” under my feet I don’t think I’d go any smaller. No idea on wheelbase.
Film Trucks
Bones SPF 52mms
Bones Reds
This was it when it was new. 5 bastard years ago
This is the 3 setups I skate regularly at the moment, I have more but they’re more experimental or something.
- Lovenskate egg, 8.75, 149 Hollows, Haze 54 cruiser wheels, 83a, Pusher bearings
- Magenta Jesse Narvaez popsicle, 8.4, 149 Standards, Spitfire 52 F4s, 99a, Bones Reds
- Magenta Casey Foley square shape, 8.5, 149 Hollows, Spitfire 52 F4s, 99a, Bones Reds
Jessup and Indy 1/8 risers on all my setups.
I have a Antihero Kanfoush on ice, Yinzer shape, a shape I’ve never skated before, looking forward to playing on that one sometime soon.
That looks sick! Not heard of Kape or Lurpiv before.
Lurpiv is Oski’s truck company. He launched it 3 or 4 years ago, something went wrong and he relaunched it last year I think.
Yes the first versions had problems with the inverted kingpins slipping I think. The new version is beefier and has a regular kingpin. They’re a ‘new generation’ loose turny truck like Ace and Slappy, but they have a square block on the pivot that makes contact with the baseplate before the wheel touches the deck. So loose and turny without wheel bite.
Was shaping up to be a dope company. Such a shame. A vid was in the works I think too. ![]()
My current set up is a Toy Machine 8.25, Royal Standard 144s, Spitfire Burner 53s, Jessup grip and Bronson G3s.
I’ve never quite got this - so instead of wheel bite you get…truck bite?!?
I suppose you keep rolling at least
