I mean it’s not cheap getting to and from soutbank every day either but really, there are rich kids who’ve not made it poor kids who have. It’s a weird thing to mention money with regards to his skating stuff.
Not to say he hasn’t had a head start in other areas or been able to focus on skating rather than a real job after turning 16 or whatever.

OK, fine. Just came across as pretty snobbish to me.
Due to his background, he may have had more freedom to pursue his interests whereas others from less advantaged backgrounds might have had families and peers who might encourage someone to pursue work and spend less time skating. Being wealthy does not automatically make you good at skating but it doesn’t hurt your chances either.
My beef with Blondey is he’s used social media very well, opening doors beyond his apparent skill level. For instance, I do not think he deserves a place on the full addidas international team based on his 5 tricks (although he does them well). But his fanbase and being able to flog plastic shell toes probably convinced the adidas management of his value. So what do I know?

I could say the same about your posts, and occasionally I do call them out. But it’s all good, forum fun. We assume too much sometimes. You just need to read each comment at face value sometimes. Read my initial one again and put into account that I am not judging his total character, his history, his skating, his art, his connections, just that one video and put that in context of me talking stupid shit and always being a confusing poster and you might just see that it’s not really a serious stab at character assassination.

I’m not sure I completely agree with this.
As someone who had to have the cheapest complete in store and then run off of hand me downs for a good few years, I think that perhaps having the ‘cool gear’ or a sick complete would have helped.
He is from Surrey, right? He was able to spend a lot of his time at SB which is a melting pot for the next up and coming pros…and that incurs costs whereas lurking on your local kerb or skating Guilford skatepark everyday doesn’t so much.
I’m not saying that talent didn’t get him there nor am a saying that he shouldn’t have used every opportunity afforded to him - but I do think that if money were not an element which comes into play everyday, then doors are already perhaps a little more open than some others might have.

BTW I like Blondey, he’s amazing. Skating and his talks on insta and I have no beef with him coming from money. But it definitely gives you the advantage.
